LDZ Cargo failed to sell two locomotives and 66 railcars at auctions in Ukraine
On August 13, LDZ Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvian Railways (Latvijas dzelzceļš), planned to hold auctions for the sale of two TEP70 locomotives and 66 end-of-life freight cars located in Ukraine. However, the auction was not held due to the lack of bids.

Estonian operator Operail received license to use shunting locomotive on mainline railways
Estonian railway operator Operail has received a license from the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet) to officially register the C30-M diesel locomotive as a mainline freight locomotive. At the same time, it remains capable of performing shunting operations at stations.

TAS Dniprovagonmash inks contract for the supply of 1,500 railcars of various models
TAS Dniprovagonmash has announced that it is starting to implement a contract with an international company (the customer’s information has not yet been disclosed). As part of this agreement, the plant will supply 1,500 railcars of various models to the customer. In addition, the company emphasizes that it plans to develop new models.
