In January, rental rates for certain types of rolling stock changed due to the revision of long-term contracts. At the same time, changes in rental rates for box cars with a body capacity of 161-175 cu m were caused by currency fluctuations.
Ukrzaliznytsia signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Swiss private companies Schwihag AG and Arthur Flury AG. This was reported by the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine on its social media accounts.

Rental rates of gondola cars have not changed in Ukraine since January 1. Most operators maintain the rates at the level which was agreed in late December.
In December 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia’s subsidiary, UZ Cargo Poland, transported scrap metal in semi-cars to Poland. UZ Cargo Poland reported this on its Telegram channel.
