            On March 2, LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss (a subsidiary of Latvian Railways) is going to hold an auction for the sale of 10 mainline diesel locomotives of the 2TE10U (with a service life till 2021) and 2TE10M series (with a service life within2020-2029), with a run between 3.2 and 3.7 million km.

            The queue of freight wagons waiting to be transferred through western border crossings has decreased by 6,300 units to 14,900 units since the beginning of the year 2023 and up to February 8.

            Vossloh Rolling Stock (a company located in the German city of Kiel and part of the Chinese CRRC) and the European leasing company Nexrail have signed an agreement for the supply of 50 more shunting and haulage locomotives.

            The Slovak operator ZSSK Cargo (Železničná spoločnosť Cargo Slovakia, a.s.) has received the first two 742-series shunting locomotives, which were modernized by the Czech CZ LOKO.
