LTG Cargo Polska: transporting generators from Lithuania to Ukraine

February 16, 2026

LTG Cargo Polska (LTG Cargo, Lietuvos Geležinkeliai), together with its partners, transported special cargo – powerful generators and accessories – from Lithuania to Ukraine.

According to the company, special platforms for oversized equipment were used for transportation.

“Generators and their components are unusual but important cargo, so we provided appropriate platforms for their safe transportation, and the entire project was implemented in close cooperation with partners from Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine. We are proud that (…) we can contribute to supporting Ukraine,” said Laimonas Nekrošius, President of LTG Cargo Polska.

Despite difficult weather conditions and freezing temperatures, the delivery was organized in less than five days – from the moment the request was made for transportation of the cargo to Ukraine. The company emphasizes that the ability to safely and reliably deliver large volumes of cargo in a single trip is one of the key advantages of rail transport.

LTG Cargo Polska, together with LTG Cargo, which has carrier licenses in Latvia and Estonia, form the North-South logistics corridor. It allows for the organization of rail transport between the Baltic countries and Central and Western Europe despite different track gauges.
