UZ Cargo Poland, Lisky CTS Branch, and East West Gate Terminal have dispatched a rolling highway freight train from Lviv (the Sknyliv–Lisky terminal) to Fényeslitke in Hungary. UZ Cargo Poland announced this on its Telegram.
Transportation was carried out using the terminal capacities and fitting platforms of the Lisky Centralized Transport Station (for 1520 mm gauge tracks), R2L (technology and equipment for loading non-cranable semi-trailers onto 1435 mm gauge tracks) and Sun Smart Logistics (technology and equipment for 1520 mm gauge tracks).
Thanks to special equipment and modernized 1520 mm gauge platforms, semi-trailers can be transported without tractors. At the East West Gate terminal, semi-trailers will be reloaded onto T3000 (1435 mm) platforms for further shipment.
This route confirms an effective and universal solution for transporting semi-trailers of any type between Ukraine and the EU using 1520 and 1435 mm gauge tracks.
As a reminder, last December, UZ Cargo Poland delivered scrap metal in semi-wagons to the Bodzachów terminal in Poland. The transportation was carried out using UZ-owned semi-wagons, which were transferred from 1520 mm to 1435 mm gauge at the Mostyska-Medyka border crossing.
