USA allows duty-free imports of Ukrainian steel products for another year
According to the White House proclamation of 31 May, the suspension of the 25% duty on imports of Ukrainian steel products under Section 232 of the US Trade Expansion Act was extended for another year. This decision also applies to steel products from Ukraine that are further processed in EU member states
Temporary ban on transportation of all cargo to Hungary for Rail Cargo Hungaria
From June 10 to June 19, a convention will be in effect for the Rail Cargo Hungaria carrier that will restrict transportation of goods of any groups from Ukrainian railway stations to Soroksar-Terminal and Bilk-Kombiterminal stations in Hungary for all consignees.
NIBULON receives grain trailers under USAID Economic Resilience Activity
As part of the USAID Economic Resilience Activity, NIBULON has received 13 Polish-made MEGA LIGHT 3 grain trailers with a carrying capacity of 25.5 tons. Currently, the company’s fleet includes 131 trucks with a grain semitrailer, which provide an average transportation volume of 16 million ton-kilometers per month.

Metrans, the rail company of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG, is expanding its hub terminal in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, by approximately five hectares to meet the growing demand for warehousing and transportation solutions in the region. The company also intends to position Metrans Dunajská Streda as a leading intermodal terminal in Central Europe.

Serbian terminal operator MBOX Terminals and German carrier Kombiverkehr are launching a new rail connection between Niš (Serbia) and Wels (Austria). The aim of this partnership is to integrate the terminal in Niš into Kombiverkehr’s extensive European network and to create new opportunities for further expansion of the geography of operations to South-Eastern Europe.
