Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees
Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers slumped by more than three times in September compared with August (down 33% month-on-month to 154,000 t). Domestic supplies dropped by 31% month-on-month to 100,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers plunged by 36% month-on-month to 54,000 t.
Laude Smart Intermodal: development of intermodal transport in Ukraine
In the first half of 2024, Laude Smart Intermodal transported more than 53 thousand TEU in Ukraine, which was an important step in the development of intermodal transport in the region. Privatization of Estonian railway operator Operail
On October 31, the Estonian railway operator AS Operail, according to its press service, entered into an agreement to sell its business to AS Tiigi Keskus RailProject OÜ (part of AS Tiigi Keskus).
GREEN Mobility Partners and Siemens Mobility sign agreement for the supply of Vectron locomotives
The Austrian leasing company GREEN Mobility Partners has reached an agreement with Siemens Mobility to supply 50 Vectron locomotives. The first contract provides for the purchase of eight Vectron MS multi-system electric locomotives, as well as maintenance support (with the option of corrective and preventive maintenance on demand).
Freight rolling stock rental rates in Baltic countries in October 2024
Rental rates of freight cars remained unchanged in October compared with September. Only the rental rates of box cars with a body capacity of 161-175 cu m and fitting platforms changed insignificantly due to currency fluctuations.
Freight rolling stock sales by Ukrainian enterprises in September 2024
Ukrainian wagon building enterprises delivered as many as 277 freight wagons to their customers in September 2024, including 195 hoppers, 46 tank cars, 28 flat cars, seven bunker-type wagons and a gondola car.
Production and offer prices of large railway castings in Ukraine
Kremenchuk Steel Works produced a total of 1,200 t of large railway castings in September 2024. The overall production of this type of railway castings in the company averaged some 8,300 t in the period from January 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
