As part of the USAID Economic Resilience Activity project, NIBULON received 50 modern hopper cars, each of which can carry up to 70 tons of grain, and 13 semi-trailers with a carrying capacity of 25.5 tons. So far, they have already exported 100,000 tons of grain to 25 countries.
Within the USAID Economic Resilience Activity project, as many as 300 grain wagons have been provided to 11 Ukrainian agricultural exporters this year. The rolling stock has been headed to Agro Region, Almeida Group LLC, Ascet Shipping, Astarta-Kyiv, Cygnet Agrocompany, Eridon, IMC, Louis Dreyfus Company, MHP, Nidera Agro, and UGTC TRADE.

A year and a half ago, the Hungarian railway operator Rail Cargo Hungaria commissioned TS Hungaria (TS-HU; core business – repair and maintenance of freight railcars) to develop a technology for the transportation of wheelsets that would be competitive with truck transportation.
On August 13, LDZ Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvian Railways (Latvijas dzelzceļš), planned to hold auctions for the sale of two TEP70 locomotives and 66 end-of-life freight cars located in Ukraine. However, the auction was not held due to the lack of bids.
LDZ Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvian Railways (Latvijas dzelzceļš), will hold an auction for the sale of an M62-1291 series locomotive on August 29. The starting price is set at €94,000 with a €5,000 increment.

Estonian railway operator Operail has received a license from the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet) to officially register the C30-M diesel locomotive as a mainline freight locomotive. At the same time, it remains capable of performing shunting operations at stations.
According to preliminary data, the Lithuanian operator LTG Cargo transported a total of 270,000 t of grain in July 2024, showing an impressive 80% year-on-year hike.
