In early September, the small-tonnage shipping market continues to see a gradual decline in tonnage list, especially in the Marmara, Black and Aegean Sea s , where just over 90 vessels of 2-12,000 dwt are open for September dates, down 10-15% from a couple of weeks ago.

The sentiment looks quite mixed on the small-tonnage shipping market this week. On the one hand, charterers have managed to stop the rate growth and even try to lower freights given a slight decline in activity ex Danube ports and decreased queues and delays at Sulina/Bystre (down to 78 dry cargo ships).
