The cargo turnover did not change much in July 2025 at the Ventspils Freeport. In particular, the stevedoring companies altogether handled approximately 503,000 t of cargo, a minor 4% or 20,000 t increase from June 2025.
The cargo turnover sagged by 2% or 81,000 t to 3.6 million t at the Klaipeda Port in July 2025. Transshipment by the Klaipeda State Seaport decreased by 183,000 t to 2.8 million t, while that by Butinge Terminal increased by 102,000 t to 888,000 t.
In July 2025, operators working at the Riga Freeport served a total of 1.2 million t of cargo, which is an increase of 76,000 t compared with June 2025. Note that the growth in the cargo turnover was recorded for the first time since March 2025, and all cargo groups.
The cargo turnover decreased again at the Liepaja SEZ in July 2025. Port operators processed a total of 480,000 t of cargo, which is 34,000 t lower than in June 2025 and the lowest since September 2024.
