NIBULON and DEG Impulse sign agreement to finance waterway demining program

February 25, 2026

As part of the develoPPP program, NIBULON has signed an agreement with the German organization DEG Impulse gGmbH for €7.8 million in financing. The cooperation focuses on maritime and inland waterway demining. The company announced this on its social media accounts on Facebook and LinkedIn.

According to the agreement, funding is provided for the creation of an innovative 90-meter-long marine platform capable of performing water area cleaning operations using modern unmanned underwater systems, including ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles), and other UUS (unmanned underwater systems).

The platform is to be built at the NIBULON shipbuilding and ship repair plant, currently the only operating shipbuilding enterprise in Ukraine. Thanks to its own production facilities, the company provides a full cycle of project implementation – from engineering and construction to technical equipment and commissioning.

Oleksandr Dovzhenkov, Director of Government Relations at NIBULON, noted:

“We are proud to continue our strategic partnership with DEG Impulse. This new stage not only strengthens our technical capabilities, but also demonstrates how Ukrainian businesses can take the lead in overcoming the consequences of war and rebuilding the economy. The fact that the develoPPP program has chosen NIBULON for the second time is strong evidence of the recognition of our company as a socially responsible business that has a real impact on the Ukrainian economy and global food security.”
