Romania to allow grain imports from Ukraine and Moldova only under licenses
Romania’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Ministerul Agriculturii şi Dezvoltǎrii Rurale, MADR) has published a draft mechanism for importing agricultural products from Moldova and Ukraine.

Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
Approximately 181 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of October 3 (up 1 wagon compared with the daily rate a week ago).

About 500 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on October 2. Meanwhile, some 50 wagons including 22 wagons with clay were moving to Chop – Zahony border crossing point on that date.

About 2,800 wagons were moving to the Izov station on September 27. Up to 2,000 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 1,000 containers, 450 wagons with metals and 219 wagons with coal.

As many as 309 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point in the period from of September 1 to September 28 (down 9 wagons compared with September 1-21).

On October 2, the EU officially lifted anti-dumping measures against imports of seamless pipes from Ukraine. They expired on October 3 at 00:00. This was stated by Yuriy Rudyuk, international trade lawyer and partner at Van Bael & Bellis (an independent law firm that focuses exclusively on WTO issues)
