Slovenian Government approves construction project of second railway track on Divaca-Koper line
The Slovenian Parliament has approved a project to double the track on the Divaca-Koper railway line. The total investment in the project will amount to €354 million, with the European Investment Bank covering most of the costs (€250 million).

Rail Baltic Estonia OU has announced a tender worth up to €932 million for the construction of the Rail Baltica main line infrastructure. The tender will result in two contracts for the construction of intercity railways Ulemiste – Parnu and Parnu – the border with Latvia.

Moldova receives second batch of rails from Kazakhstan for railroad overhaul
On September 29, the Moldovan Railways (Calea Ferata din Moldova) received the second batch of P-65 rails in the amount of 1,400 tons from the Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP (Kazakhstan) as part of an agreement signed earlier this year. The rails will be used for the overhaul of railways in Moldova.
Romania temporarily suspends sea and river traffic due to adverse weather
Both sea and river traffic has been suspended in Romania due to adverse weather conditions such as strong winds. This was reported by the country’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
