Metrans invests in expansion of its European network in Balkans
Metrans, the rail subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), is investing in the expansion of its European network, particularly in the southeast. It has acquired 49% of Adria Rail Group, so it now owns 100% of the operator working in Serbia and Croatia (51% has been owned by Metrans since March 2023).

Amsted Rail plans to launch bearing reconditioning facilities
The representative office of Amsted Rail, a US company that manufactures rolling stock components, is currently negotiating with Ukrainian enterprises to set up a used bearing remanufacturing line at its existing facilities.
Polish rail operator Rail STM buys four more Dragon 2 locomotives from Newag
The Polish freight rail operator Rail STM has ordered four more Dragon 2 locomotives manufactured by Newag for a total of PLN 75 million. Delivery of the rolling stock is expected with a two-year quality guarantee.
