In October, almost all rental rates in the Baltic countries have stayed at the level of September, with flatcars for timber transportation being the only exception (rental rates inched up in this segment). The changes in flatcar rental rates can still be explained by fluctuations of the currency exchange rate.
LDZ Cargo has announced the possibility of renting 238 wagons of various types until December 31, 2026 at the lowest possible rate of €6.5 per day (excluding VAT, subject to scheduled repairs at the expense of the lessee). The minimum step to raise the rate is €0.5 per day.
The negative sentiment that has been dominating the small-tonnage market of the Black and Mediterranean Seas in the last few weeks has only strengthened.
