UZ Cargo Poland delivered scrap metal to Polish terminal in Bodzachów

January 21, 2026

In December 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia’s subsidiary, UZ Cargo Poland, transported scrap metal in semi-cars to Poland. UZ Cargo Poland reported this on its Telegram channel.

For transportation to the Bodzachów terminal, UZ-owned semi-wagons were used, which were transferred from 1520 mm to 1435 mm gauge at the Mostyska-Medyka border crossing. Thanks to the 1435 mm gauge and terminal infrastructure, there was no need for additional transshipment operations.

This service is expected to facilitate logistics both to the ports of Gdynia and Gdańsk and to other regions of Poland, and is part of UZ Cargo Poland’s systematic efforts to integrate Ukrainian and European logistics chains.
