A new intermodal terminal in Oradea, Romania, located near the Episcopia Bihor station, has started operating seven months ahead of schedule. The project is expected to improve Romania’s connectivity with Western Europe.

Ecco-rail has launched a new intermodal route connecting Romania and Belgium. The train made its maiden voyage on May 16 from the Stukwerker terminal in the Belgian port of Ghent to the Arad terminal on the border with Romania. The maiden voyage lasted 56 hours.

The company also intends to position Metrans Dunajská Streda as a leading intermodal terminal in Central Europe.
