Coal imports from Poland to Ukraine
According to DTEK Energy, Ukraine imported 226,000 t of coal from Poland (the total contracted volume is 367,000 t). The deliveries are made regularly and will last until the end of March (according to the contract), which is almost the end of the heating season.
LTG Cargo Polska receives Vectron MS locomotive from Siemens
LTG Cargo Polska, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian company LTG Cargo (Lietuvos Geležinkeliai), has received a new Vectron MS locomotive from Siemens. Another electric locomotive is also expected to be delivered in February.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the conditions for exporting sunflower seeds to Bulgaria by introducing an automatic licensing regime instead of a non-automatic one. The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on February 2, 2024.
Moldova to receive rails from Kazakhstan for major repairs of tracks
As part of the project to reconstruct the Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia railway section in Moldova (implemented by Temirzhol Zhondeu LLP), an agreement was reached to export P-65 rails manufactured by the Aktobe Rail and Structural Steel Works (Kazakhstan) for major repairs.
Poland receives funding for infrastructure projects
Poland has received the largest co-financing of all EU countries for projects implemented with EU funds from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). €129.4 million (approximately PLN 550 million) was allocated for the renovation of roads, railways, and the construction of transshipment terminals.

Results of OSTCHEM’s plants in 2023
The plants of OSTCHEM nitrogen holding (Group DF) produced 2.1 million t of mineral fertilizers in 2023 (up 19.51% year-on-year), including 1.56 million t at Cherkasy Azot (up 39.63% year-on-year) and 528,000 t at Rivne Azot (down 10.81% year-on-year).
