In July 2025, operators working at the Riga Freeport served a total of 1.2 million t of cargo, which is an increase of 76,000 t compared with June 2025. Note that the growth in the cargo turnover was recorded for the first time since March 2025, and all cargo groups.
In the first half of the year, grain transshipment in the port of Gdansk dropped by 26% compared to the same period last year, to 1.1 million tons. The main reason for this was a decrease in supplies and an almost complete halt in transshipment of Ukrainian grain.

Ukraine and Moldova have extended the agreement on the so-called “transport visa-free regime” for another two years – until the end of 2027. As a result, no permits are required for bilateral and transit cargo transportation between the countries, which supports the stability of logistics in the region.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (Hamburg, Germany), through its subsidiary HHLA International GmbH, together with Fortior Capital LLC, a permit to acquire control over Eurobridge Intermodal Terminal LLC.
The small-tonnage shipping market remains inactive despite the ongoing increase in export prices and demand for main types of Black Sea grain (primarily milling wheat and corn).
Interpipe has joined a project to reconstruct a railway bridge in Slovakia by supplying specialized micropiles to strengthen the supporting structure. The facility is being modernized by the Slovak Railways (ŽSR) as part of a 15 km long section upgrade project on the line between Poprad and Vydrnik.
The cargo turnover decreased again at the Liepaja SEZ in July 2025. Port operators processed a total of 480,000 t of cargo, which is 34,000 t lower than in June 2025 and the lowest since September 2024.
