Ukrzaliznytsia receives first batch of rails from Voestalpine Rail Technology GmbH
Ukrzaliznytsia has received 1,400 tons of rails manufactured by the Austrian company Voestalpine Rail Technology GmbH. According to UZ’s social media posts, the first batch was delivered ahead of schedule, which will increase the pace and volume of infrastructure repairs at key sites.

Handling of grain wagons at Ukraine’s sea ports
About 2,800 wagons with grain were waiting for unloading at Ukrainian sea ports on October 9. Taking into account that approximately 412 wagons per day are accepted at the stations, it will take about 7 days to serve all the wagons currently standing in the railway network waiting for unloading at port terminals.
Transport of all cargoes via some border crossings to Poland temporarily restricted
Between September 8 and 23, transportation of cargoes of any classification from Ukrainian stations through the Muszyna (PKP) and Plavec (ZSSK) border crossings to Muszyna station in Poland is prohibited for all consignees.

The European Loc Pool leasing company is awaiting permission to operate EuroDual electric diesel locomotives manufactured by Stadler in Serbia, and by the end of the year – in Slovenia and Croatia. Certification of this rolling stock for other Balkan countries is scheduled for next year.
