The rental rates for grain hoppers and food tank cars are climbing up in the Baltic countries in September due to seasonal factors. Adjustments in rental rates in the other freight groups can still be explained by fluctuations of the exchange rate.

The picture of the small-tonnage shipping market has been somewhat paradoxical for several weeks in a row. On the one hand, transportation volumes ex Danube ports continue to grow, becoming the main driver of the whole Black Sea & Mediterranean markets.
