PKP LHS again offers discounts for transportation of certain cargoes
According to the announcement by Polish railway operator PKP LHS of March 2, the company is offering its customers special discounts for transportation of coal (HS 2701), iron ore (2601) and metal products (72, 73) when importing and transiting from/through all LHS stations.

Port of Gdynia stepped up cargo handling by 5% in 2023
Last year, the Port of Gdynia increased its cargo handling by 5% year-on-year to 29.4 million tonnes. Grain was the most popular cargo, with the total turnover of 6.8 million t in 2023 (up 43% year-on-year). Coal goes next with 2.8 million t transshipped in the period under review (down 17%).

Coal imports from Poland to Ukraine
According to DTEK Energy, Ukraine imported 226,000 t of coal from Poland (the total contracted volume is 367,000 t). The deliveries are made regularly and will last until the end of March (according to the contract), which is almost the end of the heating season.
