The railway traffic of rolled steel products, semi-finished products, pipes, pig iron and scrap of ferrous metals increased by 6% month-on-month to 950,000 t in Ukraine in August. InnoTrans 2024: Ukrzaliznytsia and EU Agency for Railways signed memorandum of cooperation
During the InnoTrans 2024 exhibition in Berlin, Ukrzaliznytsia and the European Union Agency for Railways signed a memorandum of cooperation to further integrate Ukraine into the European railway network.

During the InnoTrans 2024 exhibition in Berlin, UZ Cargo Poland, a subsidiary of Ukrzaliznytsia, and Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt (ÖBB), a Hungarian railway operator, signed a memorandum to increase the volume of intermodal and conventional rail freight transportation between Ukraine and Hungary.
Alebor Group to boost soybean operations at Vadul-Siret terminal

InnoTrans 2024: Ukrainian and Polish railways to develop intermodal routes between Europe and Asia
During the InnoTrans 2024 exhibition in Berlin (September 24-27), Ukrzaliznytsia and PKP Group agreed to develop intermodal routes between Asia and Europe. The companies plan to work on increasing the capacity and efficiency of border crossings and expanding the border railway infrastructure.

Freight rolling stock rental rates in Baltic countries in September 2024
In September, some operators raised the rental rates of flat cars meant for timber transportation. Rental rate of both box cars with a body capacity of 161-175 cu m and fitting platforms changed due to currency fluctuations.
