DTEK Energy orders additional 80,000 tonnes of coal from Poland
DTEK Energy has agreed to import additional 80,000 t of coal, bringing the total volume of contracted raw materials to 357,000 t. So far, 182,000 t have been delivered to Ukraine.
USAID AGRO Program to co-finance expansion of elevator capacities in Ukraine
At the beginning of the year, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched a program to co-finance (up to ₴270 million) the development of elevator capacity for grain processing, drying and storage for micro, small and medium-sized agribusinesses (MSMEs*).
LDZ Cargo offers 108 freight cars for rent
LDZ CARGO (a subsidiary of the Latvian railway concern Latvijas dzelzceļš) offers 108 railcars for rent, including 46 fitting platforms for large-tonnage containers (model 13-1223), 41 covered railcars (subject to withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine) and 21 transporter railcars (located in Ukraine, subject to repair by the lessee).
Zaporizhstal. Production volumes in December
Zaporizhstal produced a total of 265,500 t of pig iron in December (up 87% year-on-year and up 1% month-on-month). Steel output averaged some 228,600 t (up 223% year-on-year but down 5% month-on-month).

LTG Cargo Ukraine returns empty wagons via Poland to owners in Ukraine
LTG Cargo Ukraine, a subsidiary of LTG Cargo (Lietuvos geležinkeliai), has successfully delivered 18 empty tank wagons to Ukraine via Poland. This project was unique because the tanks were of different models and each required separate permits from PKP PLK.
Ukraine and Moldova to jointly control rail transportation at Novosavytske-Kuchurhan crossing point
The State Customs Service of Ukraine and its Moldovan counterparts will jointly control rail traffic at the Novosavytske-Kuchurhan border crossing point. Representatives of the customs and border administrations of both countries have already signed the Act on the readiness of the Kuchurhan-Novosavytske railway crossing point for joint control.
METRANS Group launches new intermodal service connecting Hamburg and Kornwestheim railway junction in Stuttgart region
Starting January 8, METRANS Group (a subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG) will launch a new daily train service between Germany’s largest seaport, Hamburg, and the railway junction in Kornwestheim (near Stuttgart).
