TS Hungaria: new system for transportation of wheelsets by rail
A year and a half ago, the Hungarian railway operator Rail Cargo Hungaria commissioned TS Hungaria (TS-HU; core business – repair and maintenance of freight railcars) to develop a technology for the transportation of wheelsets that would be competitive with truck transportation.

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers adopts mechanism for approving minimum grain prices
On August 20, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for Approval of Minimum Export Prices for Certain Types of Goods. This was announced in the telegram channel of the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.

Coaster ship owners are still unable to get freights moving in the Black and Mediterranean Seas. Moreover, many of them have already accepted the fact that activity will remain low and rates will be holding steady in the coming weeks, especially in the Black Sea.
Port of Gdansk cargo turnover in H1 2024
The port of Gdansk handled a total of 38.1 million t of cargo in the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024. The lion’s share fell on liquid fuel (53%) as well as general cargoes, mostly containerized ones.
Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in July 2024
The stevedoring companies of the Ventspils Freeport handled a total of 625,000 t of goods of various types in July, up 44% or 192,000 t compared with June. Such a rapid monthly increase is owing to a 83% or 146,000 t surge in transshipment of liquid cargo to 323,000 t
Temporary ban on transportation of fats and oils via Izov-Exp. to Poland for some consignees
In the period from August 22 to August 31, transportation of fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin, prepared edible fats and waxes of animal or vegetable origin (HS 15) from Ukrainian railway stations via the Izov-Exp border crossing to Wola Baranowska LHS in Poland is prohibited for some consignees
