On the Russian grain market, prices have shown an upturn thanks to limited offer and large tenders from frequent buyers from Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Algeria. At the same time, Egypt – a key importer of Russian wheat – is apparently not planning any purchases in the near future.
Export quotes for Kazakh wheat hold steady, with no trade upturn seen so far. As expected, wheat exports are noticeably lower this season.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the company has built a grain carrier at its own facilities that is adapted for the transportation of goods on 1520 mm and 1435 mm gauges. The components and materials used in the production were mostly Ukrainian-made.
Since August, when NIBULON received its first grain carriers as part of the USAID Economic Support for Ukrainian project, it has already transported almost 30,000 tonnes of grain.

About 185 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of December 19 (down 5 wagons in two weeks).
