VITAGRO Group of Companies has started exporting biomethane to the European Union by pipeline – a test batch of 720 MWh (68,000 cubic meters) was delivered to Germany via the Ukrainian-Slovak border on February 7, 2025. The delivery was carried out in cooperation with ERU, a trading and energy solutions company in the region.
Operators who work in the mining and metallurgical sectors had to reduce rental rates in February 2025 amid extremely scant offer of cargoes. However, market participants expect the overall situation in this sector to improve in late March – early April.

At the end of last year, Interpipe fulfilled ahead of schedule the contract for the supply of 10,000 railway wheels for the Indian state-owned enterprise Indian Railways. LTG Cargo is holding an auction for the sale of box cars. These cars are currently located in Ukraine on a lease basis, and the transfer to the new owners must be made on the territory of Ukraine.
According to the USPA, since August 8, 2023 (when the Ukrainian Navy’s temporary corridor for merchant vessels became operational), 100 million tons of cargo have been exported from the ports of Pivdennyi, Odesa, and Chornomorsk. Currently, Ukrainian products are shipped to at least 53 countries.
Not even a shred of positive changes can be seen on the small-tonnage shipping market in early February. Demand for Ukrainian, Russian and European grain is gradually increasing in the Mediterranean countries, but contracts are still signed with great difficulties.

After a long break, Medkon Lines has resumed regular container shipping on the Istanbul – Gebze – Odesa route. The first container ship arrived at the port of Odesa a few days ago.
