Moldova receives new batch of rails from Kazakhstan to overhaul railway infrastructure

Iron ore export deliveries from Ukraine by railway in December 2024

            The iron ore traffic by railway surged by 17% month-on-month to 3.8 million t in Ukraine in December 2024. In particular, exports rocketed by 27% month-on-month to 3 million t, while domestic deliveries shortened by 8% month-on-month to 800,000 t.

Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees in December 2024

            Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers picked up in December compared with November, showing a 56% month-on-month hike to 233,000 t. Domestic supplies surged by 56% month-on-month to 159,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers soared by 69% to 72,000 t.

CLIP Intermodal and PKP CARGO: intermodal transportation between terminals in Swarzedz and Duisburg

            Lithuanian railway company LTG Cargo has taken another step towards integration with European transport systems by registering its wagons in the European Vehicle Register (EVR). This process means a complete shift away from dependence on systems and processes coordinated by the Rail Transport Council in Moscow.
