According to the latest data provided by the Ventspils Freeport, the cargo turnover did not change much in November compared with October at the port. In particular, the stevedoring companies all together handled a total of 921,000 t of cargo, which is just 5% or 42,000 t above the October result.

Domestic supplies dropped by 14% month-on-month to 102,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers shrank by 13% month-on-month to 43,000 t.
LTG Cargo invests in electrification by ordering 17 EuroDual locomotives
LTG Cargo, a leading rail freight operator in Lithuania, has announced the purchase of 17 electric locomotives to be used on the Vilnius-Klaipeda route. As part of the agreement, the company will also be provided with spare parts and traction maintenance for the first three years of operation.
