Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
On August 9, a total of 1,639 wagons were waiting in a queue at the Izov station (556 wagons with ore, 329 wagons with metals, 434 wagons with cakes, 108 containers), while 1,046 wagons (483 with metals, 369 containers, 163 with grain, 30 with cement) were standing at the Mostyska-2 station.
Goods awaiting transfer through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points
There were about 8,300 wagons with various goods waiting to be transferred through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points as of August 9 compared with 7,390 wagons seen in late July.
Handling of grain wagons at Ukraine’s sea ports
About 3,500 wagons with grain were waiting for unloading at Ukrainian sea ports as of August 10. Taking into account that approximately 119 wagons per day are accepted at the stations, it will take about 29 days to process all these wagons.
Riga Freeport cargo turnover in July
At the Freeport of Riga, the cargo turnover increased by 97,000 t to 1.4 million tonnes in July compared with June 2023.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in July
For the first time in the last five months of 2023, the stevedores of the Liepaja FEZ managed to step up the cargo turnover. Thus, they handled a total of 458,000 t of cargo in July compared with just 66,000 t in June.

As many as 289 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of August 3 (up 15 wagons compared with the previous week).

The information on new temporary routes for civilian vessels to and from Ukraine’s Black Sea ports was published in the Order of the Navigational Report of the Ukrainian Navy No. 6 of August 8.

In Australia, wheat prices have fallen due to inactive trade. Exporters are buying little grain on the domestic market as importers’ demand is now focused on grain from the Northern Hemisphere and producers remain focused on weather and reluctant to sell.
