During the conference “Ukraine-Japan: Ukraine’s Economic Growth in the Context of War”, the countries agreed to further implement joint projects in the field of transport infrastructure through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

No major changes were seen on the Baltic rental market of freight wagon in May 2025. They were only rental rates of boxcars with a body capacity of 161-175 cu m and fitting platforms which saw slight adjustments due to currency fluctuations.
On May 26, the Industrial Development Agency and Euroterminal Slawkow signed an investment agreement to modernize the infrastructure of the logistics hub in Slawkow, located in southwestern Poland. The total investment amount is zl180 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, almost 37.5 million tons of grains were delivered to foreign markets from Ukraine in the period from 1 July 2024 (the start of the current marketing year) and to 21 May 2025, which is 17% below the same period in MY 2023-24.
