Freight rolling stock sales by Ukrainian enterprises in May 2025
In May 2025, Ukrainian wagon building enterprises sold 70 freight wagons, including 42 gondola cars and 28 hoppers.
Production and offer prices of large railway castings in Ukraine
Kremenchuk Steel Works produced about 200 t of large railway steel castings in May 2025. Meanwhile, the overall output of large railway castings at the enterprise averaged some 2,200 t in January-May 2025.
PKP CARGO sells more than 10,000 freight cars for scrap
According to the Polish operator PKP CARGO, 10,360 freight cars are up for sale, including 80% of the total volume of cars manufactured in 1960-80, which were used to transport coal. Because the rolling stock is in a very poor technical condition, the cars are sold only as scrap.
Laude to receive 40 double pocket railcars from Turkish manufacturer
Laude Smart Intermodal (Poland) has selected a supplier of 40 Sggmrrs intermodal railcars as part of the second tender under the Time for Revolution project. The winner was RC Endustri Ulasım Aracları A.S. from Turkey.
METRANS to launch intermodal connection in Romania

Ukrzaliznytsia receives two motor tower cars from Austria to construct European gauge railway line between Chop and Uzhhorod
The Austrian Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure announced that two X534 motor tower cars have been transferred to Ukrzaliznytsia for the construction and maintenance of European railway tracks. They were officially handed over by Minister Peter Hanke to the Ukrainian Ambassador to Austria, Vasyl Khymynets, last Wednesday.
Moldova extends grain import licensing until the end of 2025

Interpipe supplies pipes for gas production in Romania
Interpipe has shipped tubing with premium UPJ-M connections to Romania. The products will be used to upgrade 39 wells at the Bilciuresti gas field in the south of the country. The project will increase gas production from 14 to 20 million cubic meters per day.
New covered warehouse opens at Mostyska Container Terminal
On July 1, a new covered warehouse with an area of 4,000 square meters will start operating at the Mostyska Dry Port Container Terminal. The facility is divided into two separate warehouses, which significantly increases the capacity for storing and transshipping bulk cargo, including meal, grain, fertilizers in big bags, etc.
