TEN-T: Moldova and the EU sign a memorandum of understanding
The European Union and the Republic of Moldova have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the mapping of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) in Moldova.The indicative maps of the Trans-European Transport Network include European rail and road transport corridors to Moldova and Ukraine.

Ukrzaliznytsia working to step up train traffic to seaports
Ukrzaliznytsia is working to increase the capacity of the Podilsk – Rozdilna section to 50 trains per day (currently, the figure is 47 trains per day, and the passport capacity does not exceed 40 trains). In particular, repair work is currently underway on this section.
Handling at Ukraine-Slovakia border crossings*
About 266 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of December 21 (up 9 units per day in two weeks). Approximately 199 wagons per day were moving on export routes (down 1 unit), while 67 wagons arrived with imported cargo (up 10 units).
Freight traffic through Medyka – Shehyni border crossing point blocked again
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the truck traffic at the Medyka border crossing point (Poland) adjacent to the Ukrainian Shehyni border crossing point was blocked again from January 4. Currently, about 800 trucks are waiting to enter Ukraine at this checkpoint.
Licensing and quotas for exports of certain goods from Ukraine in 2024
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed Resolution No. 1402 dated December 27, 2023 “On Approval of the Lists of Goods Subject to Licensing and Quotas for 2024”. The resolution came into force from January 1, 2024.
