LTG Cargo modernizes Radviliškis Freight Wagon Depot
According to LTG Cargo, the company is carrying out a large-scale modernization of the Radviliškis Freight Wagon Depot in Radviliškis, Lithuania. In particular, the brake shop has been equipped with renovated premises and new equipment, and the development of a project to modernize the assembly shop and install new equipment has begun.
METRANS completes modernization of Siemens Eurorunner diesel locomotive
According to information from the operator METRANS, part of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), the overhaul of the first Siemens Eurorunner (EP20-001) diesel locomotive, which was handed over to the operator in May 2011, has been completed.
Interpipe enters railway market with new product
Interpipe announced that it has expanded its Ultimate line of railway products for freight cars by introducing a new niche product – its own ULT 70 wheel sets. The first batch has already been shipped to a customer in France, who is successfully operating them on car carrier trains.
First intermodal route launched between the Netherlands and Romania
Rail operator CargoBeamer, which specializes in semi-trailer transport, is launching a new route connecting the Romanian city of Oradea and Venlo in the Netherlands.
Construction of intermodal terminal at Gdynia Port Logistics Center
According to information from the Port of Gdynia, construction has begun on a modern intermodal terminal at the Logistics Center. Nearly PLN 75 million is to be invested in the project, including PLN 35 million (50%) in funding from the Connecting Europe Facilities (CEF).

Rental rates of gondola cars started going up in October. In particular, with the lowest rates holding steady, both average and higher rental rates show an increase.
