Tatravagónka acquires 49% stake in TS Hungaria
Slovakian rolling stock manufacturer Tatravagónka has acquired a 49% stake in the Hungarian company TS Hungaria (Technical Services Hungaria Járműjavító Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság), which specializes in the maintenance, repair and production of freight cars.
Convention for cargo transportation to Poland for one of consignees
Starting from February 21, the carrier PKP Cargo S.A. is prohibited from transporting all cargo from Ukrainian stations to Poland for the Pol-Spedycja Sp. z o.o consignee.
UNIMOT announces first gasoline railway deliveries to Ukraine
The UNIMOT S.A. Group (Poland) is expanding its petroleum product supply logistics: the company is now transporting gasoline to Ukraine by rail. Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees in January 2025
Similar to December 2024, railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers continued gaining pace in January 2025, showing a 21% month-on-month increase to 282,000 t. Domestic supplies surged by 29% month-on-month to 205,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers stepped up by 1% to 73,000 t.
Temporary ban on transportation of all goods to Slovakia for some consignees
Transportation of all cargo from Ukraine to the Povazska Bystrica station in Slovakia for Teplaren and Raven consignees is suspended for the period from March 28 to April 7.
Moldova receives another batch of rails from Kazakhstan for railroad overhaul
On February 10, the railway company Calea Feratã din Moldova received another batch of P-65 rails in the amount of 3,100 tons from the Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP (Kazakhstan) as part of an agreement signed in early 2024. They will be used for the railway overhaul in Moldova.
