Hapag-Lloyd and MSC to resume container transportation to Ukrainian ports
This weekend, German carrier Hapag-Lloyd will become the first mainline operator to start offering container transportation to Ukrainian seaports. The company will work with a Romanian-Ukrainian service operated by Iteris Feeders, a Ukrainian transport and logistics company based in Odesa.
New intermodal connection between Serbian Niš and Austrian Wels
Serbian terminal operator MBOX Terminals and German carrier Kombiverkehr are launching a new rail connection between Niš (Serbia) and Wels (Austria). The aim of this partnership is to integrate the terminal in Niš into Kombiverkehr’s extensive European network and to create new opportunities for further expansion of the geography of operations to South-Eastern Europe.
Temporary restriction on transportation of plant materials to Wola Baranowska station in Poland
Between June 3 and June 10, transportation of plant materials for the manufacture of wicker goods and other products of plant origin (HS 14) from Ukrainian stations via the Izov-Exp border crossing (PKP) to Wola Baranowska LHS in Poland is prohibited for all consignees.
Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees
The overall transportation volume of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees dropped by 20% or 49,000 t to 190,000 t in April compared with March due to reduced inflow of imported mineral fertilizers into Ukraine (down 25% month-on-month to 73,000 t) and lower domestic supplies (down 19% month-on-month to 113,000 t).
