A new regular route Kaunas (Kowno) – Lodz – Duisburg will connect Lithuania, Poland and Germany. Its launch (June 10) is the result of cooperation between LTG Cargo (in particular LTG Cargo Poland) and Spedycja Polska SPEDCONT Sp. z o.o.

METRANS to step up capacity of terminal near Poznan
METRANS, a member of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), has announced that it has begun work on a multi-phase project to expand its intermodal terminal in the village of Gadki, near Poznan, Poland.
Riga Freeport cargo turnover in May 2025
Riga Freeport handled almost 1.3 million t of cargo of various types in May, which was 42,000 t below transshipment in April.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in May 2025
The cargo turnover at Liepaja SEZ remained almost unchanged in May compared with April. Port operators all together processed approximately 641,000 t of cargo, down 35,000 t from April.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in May 2025
May cargo turnover of the port of Klaipeda exceeded the April figure by 5% month-on-moth or 188,000 t and reached almost 4 million t. The Klaipeda State Seaport stepped up transshipment by 115,000 t to 3.2 million t, while the cargo turnover at the Butinge terminal increased by 73,000 t to 772,000 t.
Construction of new oil terminal approved in Gdansk
The joint infrastructure project of Naftoport and the Gdansk Seaport Authority has received an official construction permit – the relevant decision was approved by the Pomeranian Voivodeship on May 29, 2025.
European Commission sets quotas for imports of Ukrainian products
The European Commission’s Decision No. 2025/1132 of June 3 established the size of quotas on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products, which will come into force on June 6 and will be in force until the end of this year.
