LDZ Cargo selling used wheelsets
On July 2, LDZ Cargo is planning to hold a tender for sale of 120 wheelsets meant for RU-1 freight cars with roller bearings. The starting price is set at €25,500 with a bid increment of €500.
Foreign carriers will soon be able to bring their cars to Ukrzaliznytsia’s network
During the online meeting, Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department at Ukrzaliznytsia, said that in the near future foreign operators and carriers will be able to conclude an agreement with Ukrzaliznytsia that will allow them to bring their foreign cars into Ukraine.

Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu has announced another increase in fees for vessels passing non-stop under the Montreux Convention through the Istanbul (Bosporus) and Canakkale (Dardanelles) Straits.

EU imposes new tariffs on imports of Russian and Belarusian fertilizers
The Council of the European Union has adopted amendments to the regulation, which will come into force on July 1 this year and introduce new tariffs on agricultural products and certain fertilizers originating from Russia and Belarus (which were not previously subject to restrictive measures).
Port of Gdansk: Baltic Hub officially opens T3 terminal
According to Baltic Hub (PSA Group), the official opening of the T3 terminal took place in the port of Gdansk (Poland) on June 6. Transshipment is already underway there as part of the start-up phase. Loading and unloading operations have been tested since March 21 (according to the temporary traffic management map).
LDZ Cargo to hold tenders for sale of freight cars
LDZ Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvian Railways (Latvijas dzelzcels), will hold a tender on June 18 for the sale of 63 freight cars withdrawn from its inventory fleet.

The situation remains discouraging for small-tonnage owners even after the end of holidays in Muslim countries. Despite an almost 10% decline in spot tonnage list seen in the Black and Mediterranean Seas during the week, owners have failed to benefit from it given the total shortage of firm cargo offers.
