A total of 5.04 million t of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in June, falling behind the May volume by 25% or 1.67 million t. In particular, exports included 4.1 million t of grain (down 26% month-on-month or 1.48 million t), 490,000 t of vegetable oil (down 26% month-on-month or 170,000 t)
Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees in June 2024
Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers picked up in June compared to May, showing a hike of 54% to 162,000 t. Domestic supplies almost doubled, indicating a monthly growth of 90% to 109,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers increased by 20% to 53,000 t.
Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in June 2024
A total of 3.5 million tonnes of iron ore were transported in Ukraine in June, down 2% compared with May. Iron ore exports from Ukraine declined by 2% month-on-month to 2.6 million t, while domestic deliveries fell by 1% month-on-month to 900,000 t.
PKP LHS: 1H-2024 transportation figures and railway infrastructure development
In the first half of the year, the Polish railway operator PKP LHS transported 6 million tonnes of cargo, which is 29% more than in the same period of 2023. In particular, the company increased imports by 101% year-on-year and exports by 50% year-on-year year-on-year.
