Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in November
Stevedoring companies of the Ventspils Freeport processed almost 1.3 million tonnes of various cargo in November. Note that the overall handling volume was 255,000 t higher in October.
Klaipeda Port cargo turnover in November
The overall volume of cargo handled by the stevedores operating at the port of Klaipeda has not changed much in November compared with October 2022. So, a total of 3.7 million tonnes of goods were processed in November (down 7,000 t against October).

As of December 14, a total of 4,407 freight wagons with export cargo crossed the Izov – Hrubeszów station moving from Ukraine, while 985 wagons with imported products arrived in Ukraine, of which 1,927 were with grain, 532 were with ore, 663 were containers, etc.

During the period from Dec 8 to Dec 15, about 255 wagons (three trains) were handled per day at the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou border crossing.
New LNG terminal launched in Wilhelmshaven
The regasification vessel Höegh Esperanza (FSRU – Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, 294 m long) was installed on Thursday, December 15 in Wilhelmshaven (Germany, Lower Saxony), and the new LNG terminal was officially put into operation on December 16.
Austrian Rail Cargo Group carried 1 mmt Ukrainian grain
Rail Cargo Group, part of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), transported a total of 1 million tonnes of Ukrainian-origin grain during the period started March 1 and ended November 30, 2022.

In the period from Dec 13 to Dec 20, the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti border crossing (Romania) showed serving of about 135 wagons per day (two trains on a 1520 mm track and two trains on a 1435 mm track).

The Freeport of Riga processed almost 2.2 million tonnes of cargo in November, that is 412,000 t above the volume recorded in October.
