Market of complex and potash fertilizers // Week 50
Buying interest in phosphate fertilizers remains moderate in Brazil. Moroccan MAP 11:52 for shipments in December is offered at $570/t C&F. Russian-made MAP 12:52 is being purchased at $560-565/t C&F. The Indian company NFL has bought 50,000 t of Moroccan DAP at $594-595/t C&F for shipment in December.
Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
About 185 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of December 19 (down 5 wagons in two weeks). By destinations, approximately 146 wagons with export cargo (up 10 units) and 39 wagons with imported goods (down 24 units) were handled daily in the period under review.

The phosphate market is generally calm, with players showing low activity, waiting and watching. In Egypt, only small lots are offered for sale. Some importers are requesting prices for Egyptian DAP, which are currently almost in line with Moroccan fertilizer.

Trade has perked up on the Egyptian urea market, with deals to sell at least 135-140,000 t of granular fertilizer signed at $340-350/t FOB. Abu Qir has sold 45-50,000 t of urea at the same price.
