Phosphate trade remains low in Brazil. The market is still seeing offers of MAP 11:52/12:52 at $540-50/t C&F. Some importers report a shift in shipping period of OCP-produced Moroccan fertilizers.
Up to 250 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of October 26 (down 41 units in two weeks). In particular, 223 wagons were moving on export routes (down 35 units), while 27 wagons arrived with imported goods (down 6 wagons).
The global phosphate fertilizer market remains nearly unchanged. Demand is low in Latin America, with quotes stable in most cases. MAP 11:52 is offered at $550/t C&F Brazil and $590-600/t C&F Argentina.
Earlier this week, Egyptian producers were offering granular urea at $420/t FOB. Fertiglobe sold 50,000 t of the fertilizer to EFC at $405/t FOB and 6,000 t at $400/t FOB. MOPCO sold 6,000 t of urea and a 10,000 t stem at $400/t FOB.
About 2,950 wagons were moving to the Izov station on October 11, including 938 wagons with cakes, 893 wagons with vegetable oil, and 246 wagons with grain. Up to 1,900 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 976 containers and 418 wagons with metals.
Export quotes for Egyptian urea have dropped this week. AlexFert has sold 6,000 t of the fertilizer at $420/t FOB for shipment in October.
Trade has been slow in the segment for Chinese phosphates. Small lots of DAP are being exported under previously concluded contracts, but no new deals have been reported. Prices are voiced within $571.5-600/t FOB China.
In Ukraine, Cherkasy-based Azot continues to operate two urea production units. One of the units supplies raw materials for UAN production, while the other produces a commercial product. As a reminder, the operation of plant’s urea shops may be unstable in October.
