Grain market. Kazakhstan // Week 39
Export quotes for Kazakh grain have stabilized, but remain quite high. Recent upturns in wheat prices have already led to higher flour prices in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Quotes are not expected to fall due to a smaller than expected harvest and harvesting delays (resulting in loss of quality).

Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
Approximately 181 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of October 3 (up 1 wagon compared with the daily rate a week ago).
Handling at Ukraine – Hungary border crossings*
About 500 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on October 2. Meanwhile, some 50 wagons including 22 wagons with clay were moving to Chop – Zahony border crossing point on that date.
Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
About 2,800 wagons were moving to the Izov station on September 27. Up to 2,000 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 1,000 containers, 450 wagons with metals and 219 wagons with coal.
Handling at Ukraine – Slovakia border crossings*
As many as 309 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point in the period from of September 1 to September 28 (down 9 wagons compared with September 1-21).
