Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in February 2024
A total of 4.1 million t of iron ore were carried by railways in Ukraine in February, showing an increase of 9% compared with January. Iron ore exports rose by 11% month-on-month to 3.3 million t, while home deliveries remained at the level of the previous month, still averaging some 800,000 t.
PKP LHS again offers discounts for transportation of certain cargoes
According to the announcement by Polish railway operator PKP LHS of March 2, the company is offering its customers special discounts for transportation of coal (HS 2701), iron ore (2601) and metal products (72, 73) when importing and transiting from/through all LHS stations.
Węglokoks Group becomes majority owner of Port Północny transshipment and warehouse company in Gdansk
On February 29, after fulfilling all the necessary conditions, Węglokoks (Poland) and Sea-Invest Corporation (Luxembourg) completed the transfer of shares in the Port Północny transshipment and warehousing company (PPS Port Północny sp. z o.o.) and signed a contract.

Port of Constanta handled 92.5 million t of cargo in 2023
Last year, the Romanian seaport of Constanta handled 92.5 million tonnes of cargo (up 22.5% year-on-year), including 25 million t of Ukrainian goods.
