NIBULON has transported 73k tons of grain in USAID-provided wagons since August 2023
In 2023, the USAID Economic Resilience Activity purchased and handed over 50 modern grain hoppers with the capacity of 70 tons each to NIBULON. Since August 2023, the company has transported almost 73,000 tons of Ukrainian grain using this rolling stock.
Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in May 2024
The volume of iron ore transportation by railway reached 3.6 million t in Ukraine in May, exceeding the April result by 2%. Export deliveries increased by 3% month-on-month to 2.7 million t, while domestic supplies remained almost unchanged averaging 900,000 t.
Agro Region receives 25 grain hoppers under USAID Economic Resilience Activity
As part of the USAID Economic Resilience Activity, Agro Region Group of Companies received 25 new grain hoppers, two loaders, three semi-trailers, truck scales, and generators.
EU Council of Ministers approves construction of 1435 mm railway to Klaipeda
The EU Council of Ministers has approved a new regulation for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which provides for the development of a new European gauge railway line to Klaipeda. The updated document also refers to a transport corridor connecting the Baltic, Black and Aegean Seas and additional connections to Ukraine.
USAID ERA: Pre-project work on modernization of Yahodyn-Dorohusk automobile checkpoint

Calea Ferată din Moldova: infrastructure modernization works
Modernization works are ongoing on the railway infrastructure in Moldova. Currently, turnouts have been replaced at seven stations (Căinari, Cimislia, Basarabeasca, etc.); soon they will be repaired at Greceni, Vulcanesti, and Etulia stations. Also, about 19,600 sleepers were replaced.
USAID: First three sets of bogie exchange lifts installed at railroad border crossing with Poland
As part of the Economic Resilience Activity (ERA), USAID is providing Ukrzaliznytsia with 20 bogie exchange lifts for changing bogies at the railway border crossing with Poland.
Temporary restriction on transportation of all goods to Hungary for Rail Cargo Hungaria carrier
Between June 22 and August 4, a convention will be in effect for the Rail Cargo Hungary carrier that will restrict cargo transportation from Ukrainian railway stations to the Hodmezovasarhely station in Hungary for all consignees.
