About 6,200 wagons with grain were found waiting for unloading at Ukrainian sea ports on November 9. Taking into account that approximately 980 wagons are daily accepted at the stations, it might take up to 6 days to serve all these wagons.
Slag transportation via Yahodyn-exp. border crossing to Poland temporarily banned
From November 10 to November 16, a convention will be in effect restricting transportation of granulated slag (ETSNV 27) from Ukrainian stations via the Yahodyn-exp. border crossing to Poland for all consignees.
TX Logistik planning to develop intermodal rail transportation to Turkey
TX Logistik AG (part of the Mercitalia Group, a subsidiary of Ferrovie delle Stato Italiane, the Italian state railway) intends to continue developing intermodal freight transportation to Turkey. Therefore, the company is planning to present updated information about its projects at the Logitrans exhibition in Istanbul on November 15-17.
Beacon Rail orders ten Vectron MS locomotives from Siemens Mobility
Beacon Rail, a rolling stock leasing company, has ordered ten Vectron MS multisystem locomotives from Siemens Mobility. They are to be used along the Rhine-Alpine corridor, between North Sea ports, and on domestic European routes. This order will bring the number of Vectron locomotives in the company’s fleet to 170.
