Serbian port of Prahovo to be reconstructed on the Danube

            This year, the Serbian Ministry of Infrastructure plans to announce a tender for the reconstruction of the port of Prahovo, located 860 km on the right bank of the Danube River near the borders of Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Exports of Ukrainian agricultural products in June 2024

            A total of 5.04 million t of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in June, falling behind the May volume by 25% or 1.67 million t. In particular, exports included 4.1 million t of grain (down 26% month-on-month or 1.48 million t), 490,000 t of vegetable oil (down 26% month-on-month or 170,000 t)

Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees in June 2024

            Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers picked up in June compared to May, showing a hike of 54% to 162,000 t. Domestic supplies almost doubled, indicating a monthly growth of 90% to 109,000 t, while transportation of imported mineral fertilizers increased by 20% to 53,000 t.

Anchorage for transshipment of Ukrainian grain to be opened in Constanta in September

            During a regular online meeting in the Quint format with representatives of the European Commission, the US government, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine, the Romanian side announced the opening of an additional anchorage for transshipment of Ukrainian grain in the port of Constanta.

Tatravagonka: new Sdggmrss six-axle articulated basket wagon

            The Slovakian rolling stock manufacturer Tatravagónka has released a new six-axle articulated basket wagon Sdggmrss. The rolling stock, equipped with integrated baskets, is suitable for both 1668 mm and 1435 mm gauge, making it a universal solution for various railway networks in Europe, in particular on the Iberian Peninsula.

Rail Baltic Estonia and Tariston sign contract for construction of 7 km long section of main line

            Rail Baltic Estonia OÜ and road construction company Tariston AS have signed a contract for the construction of the Hagudi – Alu section of the railway line in Rapla County (Estonia). The 7 km long line will include not only tracks, but also complex infrastructure and related facilities.

Temporary ban on transportation of all cargo via certain border crossings to Poland and Germany

            From July 15 to July 29, transportation of goods of any classification from Ukrainian stations through the Kostrzyn (PKP) and Kustrin-Kietz (DB) border crossings to Poland and Germany is prohibited for all consignees.
