Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in February 2024
A total of 4.1 million t of iron ore were carried by railways in Ukraine in February, showing an increase of 9% compared with January. Iron ore exports rose by 11% month-on-month to 3.3 million t, while home deliveries remained at the level of the previous month, still averaging some 800,000 t.

LDZ may reduce list of goods transported by rail through Latvia
The Board and management of the Latvian Railways (VAS Latvijas dzelzceļš, LDZ) urge its subsidiary LDZ Cargo not to take on new obligations to transport goods that could potentially be included in the sanctions lists through Latvia.
CLIP Group and Alstom sign agreement for supply of 13 Traxx 3 MS locomotives
Alstom and CLIP Intermodal have signed an agreement for the supply of 13 Traxx 3 MS (third generation) multisystem locomotives. The agreement also includes maintenance of the traction rolling stock during the warranty period.

Astarta starts exporting sugar by sea
Astarta is the first Ukrainian company to export sugar by sea, having loaded and shipped a vessel with 3,000 t of the product to North Africa. This was announced by Vyacheslav Chuk, Astarta’s commercial director, during his speech at a conference in Dubai in March.
