UDP proposes alternative routes for barge caravans to redirect cargo from western border

Convention for cargo transportation to Slovakia for ZSSK Cargo
Starting from February 26, the carrier ZSSK Cargo will be prohibited from transporting goods of any nomenclature from Ukrainian stations to the Strazske station in Slovakia for “Chemko, a.s. Slovakia” and “Diakol Strazske s.r.o.” consignees.
Metrans invests in expansion of its European network in Balkans
Metrans, the rail subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), is investing in the expansion of its European network, particularly in the southeast. It has acquired 49% of Adria Rail Group, so it now owns 100% of the operator working in Serbia and Croatia (51% has been owned by Metrans since March 2023).
