Czech freight rail carrier ORLEN Unipetrol Doprava (ORLEN Unipetrol Group) has ordered four more Vectron MS 383 series electric locomotives from Siemens Mobility and is to receive them by the end of 2025. The total number of locomotives of this brand in the company’s fleet will increase to 11.

Transportation of all cargo to Wola Baranowska station in Poland temporarily restricted
From January 18 to January 24, transportation of goods of any classification from Ukrainian stations via the Izov-Exp border crossing (PKP) to the Wola Baranowska station in Poland is prohibited for all consignees.
Discounts for transit through territory of Moldova
Throughout 2024, a discount of 27% will be applied to the tariff for rail transportation of agricultural products in transit through Moldova. Such agreements were reached during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan Mixed Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on September 29, 2023 in Odesa.

Iron ore export deliveries from Ukraine by railway in December
The volume of iron ore transportation by railway amounted to 3.4 million t in Ukraine (up 12% compared with November). Exports increased by 9% month-on-month to 2.5 million t, while domestic deliveries jumped up by 21% month-on-month to 900,000 t.
