Ukraine to import Azerbaijani gas via Trans-Balkan Corridor
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the first test supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan using the Trans-Balkan gas transportation corridor is underway. The delivery is carried out via the Bulgaria – Romania – Ukraine route with the participation of Naftogaz of Ukraine and SOCAR Energy Ukraine
Gdynia port cargo turnover in 1H 2025
The total cargo turnover averaged some 13.1 million t at the port of Gdynia in January-June 2025 (down 4.8% year-on-year), of which 8.5 million t were general cargo (up 10% year-on-year), accounting for 65% of the overall cargo transshipment at the port.
Freight rolling stock rental rates in Baltic countries in July 2025
As planned for July, one of the key operators that works on the Baltic market revised rental rates for its own fleet. As a result, most rental rates were reduced chiefly due to scant cargo offer and low demand for transportation.

European Commission approves financial support to Slovakia for purchase of freight rolling stock
The European Commission has approved a €300 million state aid program for Slovakia aimed at purchasing new freight cars. Funding will be provided in the form of direct grants to cover part of the costs (up to 50%, with a maximum amount of €200 million per applicant) for the purchase of rolling stock.
